Maruti Suzuki has just launched the fourth generation of the Dzire in India, introducing a fresh design and updated features. Measuring 3,995 mm (157.3 inches) in length with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm (96.5 inches), this compact sedan sports a bolder look with angular LED headlights and a larger front grille.
While the entry-level trim comes with 14-inch steel wheels, higher trims step it up with 15-inch alloys. Around back, the Dzire features boxy taillights and a subtle integrated spoiler.
Inside, the Suzuki Dzire gets a range of updates depending on the trim level, including faux wood accents for a more premium feel. A 9-inch infotainment screen, compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, pairs with an analog instrument cluster, bringing a pleasing blend of tech and tradition. Top-tier models add extras like automatic A/C, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, an electric sunroof, and Suzuki Connect connectivity.
Safety is a standout on the new Dzire, as it’s the first Maruti Suzuki to earn a five-star Global NCAP rating. Every trim comes equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and pedestrian protection for added peace of mind. Maruti Suzuki's trusted Heartect platform powers the Dzire with a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 80 hp (60 kW / 82 PS) on gasoline and 69 hp (51 kW / 70 PS) in the CNG variant.
Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic, both sending power to the front wheels. Already available to order in India, the new Suzuki Dzire is priced from ₹6.79 lakh ($8,000) to ₹10.14 lakh ($12,000), making it a solid choice for those seeking a feature-packed yet affordable compact sedan.
