2023 Porsche 911 Carrera T Is A Lightweight, Sporty Model
by AutoExpert | 19 October, 2022
With the unveiling of the new 911 Carrera T, Porsche has expanded its 911 portfolio for 2023. The new Porsche 911 Carrera T, which sits between the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S, is marketed as a fun and lightweight touring variation.
It is equipped with the twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine from the previous generation, which produces 379 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Porsche 911 Carrera T has lost weight while maintaining the same engine since it now has a seven-speed manual transmission, less sound insulation, and no rear seats.
The car's designers also gave it thinner glass and a more compact, smaller battery to further reduce weight. With the modifications, the model weighs 3,254 lbs, which is 100 lbs less than the 911 Carrera with PDK. Performance-wise, the 911 T can reach a peak speed of 181 mph after accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Additionally, an extra eight-speed PDK gearbox is available to customers, which reduces the 0-60 mph time to 3.8 seconds.
Clients will be able to choose from several available customizations and add rear seats at no additional cost. Seat belts in Slate Grey or Lizard Green, as well as seat stripes and contrast piping, are all part of the Porsche Carrera T Interior Package. Floor mats and headrests adorned with the 911 logo complete the look.
The 911 Carrera T will be available in U.S. dealerships next spring for a starting price of $116,600 plus a $1,450 delivery, processing, and handling charge.
