2023 Alpina B8 Gran Coupe Receives A New Look
by AutoExpert | 2 February, 2022
The 2023 Alpina B8 Gran Coupe, like the 2023 BMW 8 Series series, is getting a decent facelift for the following model year. With its long history of modifying BMW cars, Alpina may say that it is the semi-official BMW tuning firm. It's the same story with the 2023 B8 Gran Coupe.
The new lighted grille on the front fascia is the most noticeable aesthetic change on the 2023 Alpina B8 Gran Coupe, while the back end has remained unchanged. Blue Metallic and Green Metallic are two brand-exclusive exterior paint hues available to customers. Portimao Blue, Sanremo Green, Skyscraper Grey, Frozen Pure Grey, and Frozen Tanzanite Blue are some of the other color selections. The BMW Individual catalog also offers a variety of unique color choices for customers.
We don't mind the fact that nothing has changed in the engine compartment. The 612 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque produced by the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 are already phenomenal. The 0-60 mph sprint will take just 3.3 seconds, and the peak speed is expected to be 201 mph.
The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is the same as the one found in the BMW 8 Series, but with more dynamic shifting thanks to Alpina's collaboration with ZF. A unique exhaust system was also installed by Alpina. A limited-slip differential, stunning 20-spoke Alpina wheels, and improved suspension and brakes are also included.
The dual-screen arrangement featured in the 2023 8 Series will be replicated on the inside. Meanwhile, the existing 10.25-inch Live Cockpit Professional display has been replaced by a 12.3-inch unit. A crystal glass iDrive controller with a laser-engraved Alpina emblem and lighted Alpina door sills are among the additional unique elements. Surely, the sports steering wheel on each car is hand-finished and leather-wrapped.
The 2023 Alpina B8 Gran Coupe is likely to be available in the United States, although the official price has yet to be released. For comparison, the 2022 model starts at a whopping $140,895.
