While the U.S. lacks wagons, Europe is a dream scenario for estate aficionados. A long-roof version of several compact and midsize cars is available in Europe, as is a B-segment model like the Skoda Fabia Combi. The Opel Astra wagon has been available since 1992 and is ready to enter the L generation. Having said that, what are your  thoughts on this 2022 Opel Astra Sports Tourer?

We don't need a magic mirror to envisage the Astra Sports Tourer after seeing the tiny hatchback in July. The new Opel Astra seems as attractive as a wagon, and perhaps even cleaner than the mechanically comparable Peugeot 308 SW, whose design has been criticized for being overly crowded.

There are no correct or incorrect replies, it's all a question of taste. A wagon's freight capacity is everything. The Astra hatchback's baggage compartment holds 422 liters (14.9 cu ft), and in terms of cargo space, it will likely be a close second to the new Dacia Jogger (708 liters, 25 cu ft).

The Astra hatchback, which will go on sale in Europe next month, will be produced in Germany once more, and is expected to be followed by the wagon soon. Both body types will have a choice of gasoline and diesel engines, similar to the Peugeot 308, as well as a plug-in hybrid engine for the first time in an Astra.
