2022 Lexus RC F And RC F Fuji Speedway Edition For The US
by AutoExpert | 7 September, 2021
For the 2022 model year, the carmaker released Lexus RC F sports coupe and the RC Fuji Speedway Edition, both of which have minor upgrades over the previous generation.
There will be just 50 of the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition 2022 cars made in 2022, which is ten less than the 60 units produced in 2021. Electrical Surge exterior hue will be available exclusively, together with a carbon fiber hood, top and back spoiler.
This year's 19-inch alloy wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires (255/35ZR19 front and 275/35ZR19 rear). Fuji Speedway Edition also has Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and a titanium exhaust system to save weight and improve performance on the track.
The special model can sprint from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.96 secs, compared to 4.2 secs for the ordinary RC F, and can reach the highest speed of 168 mph (270 km/h) thanks to the improvements. Sports seats are upholstered in black and blue Alcantara, with blue carbon fiber highlights, Alcantara compliments on the steering wheel, and shift knob.
It comes standard with a 10.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Amazon Alexa connectivity, and there's an optional 17-speaker 835-watt Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio System. The user may remotely start the motor using a smartwatch, which is a neat function.
After debuting in 2014, as the high-performance version of Lexus' RC, the RC F got an update for the 2019 model year. In its place is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 motor with 472-hp (479 PS) and 535 Nm of torque (395.4 lb-ft).
Through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, energy is sent to the back wheels. Sport Direct Shift gearbox with downshift rev-matching and Adaptive Variable Suspension with F-specific tuning are all standard equipment.
The Carbon Package adds various cosmetic enhancements to the basic RC F. On top of that, it has a matte black finish on the 19-inch wheels. Also included are heated and ventilated front seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and the Intuitive Parking Assist.
Lexus RC F 2022 will be available in showrooms in late September of this year. This year's pricing is expected to follow the previous year's trend.
