As the vehicle prepares for its launch in South Korea, several new photos of the 2022 Genesis G80 Sport have been posted. G80 Sport has a better suspension system with revised springs and shocks, which is a significant upgrade.
Various driving modes allow drivers to customize their journey. Furthermore, Genesis has fitted the G80 Sport with rear-wheel steering, which helps increase maneuverability by turning the rear wheels in the reverse direction of the front ones at speeds up to 37 mph (60 km/h).
It will be available in South Korea with the same 2.2-liter turbodiesel, 2.5-liter, and 3.5-liter petrol engines as the other Genesis models. The base 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 300 hp and 311 pound-feet (422 Nm) of torque, while the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 produces 375 hp and 391 pound-feet of torque (530 Nm).
The diesel engine delivers 207 hp and 325 lb-ft (441 Nm), and all motors come standard with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 2022 G80 Sport has also undergone some cosmetic tweaks. It has a deep chrome grille and a redesigned front bumper with fresh air intakes and angular shapes.
G90 Sport's inside has also been updated, with the most noticeable change being the addition of a three-spoke steering wheel and a unique dashboard garnish that comes in aluminum, carbon fiber, and a diamond-patterned hybrid weave treatment. 2022 Genesis G80 Sport also includes a new Active Sound Design system that intensifies the motor's sound.
Also included are a pair of 20-inch wheels with red or black brake calipers. G80 Sport's heavy chrome highlights continue up the sides and across the back.
