2020 Milan Red: Austrian Hypercar With 1,325 HP

When we looked at the Milan Automotive Facebook page, we noticed that its CEO, Markus Fux, was in Russia seeing someone who designed a Lada. That was Dmitry Lazarev, who was in charge of developing the Lada Raven Concept, which is pretty beautiful. It was a one-off design that he offered to AutoVAZ, but the carmaker rejected it, claiming that they don't make vehicles without trunks.

Fux and Lazarev reached a compromise: Lada Raven will become the new Milan Red. Markus Fux, the Austrian businessman behind the supercar, planned to launch the vehicle in 2019. Despite the exorbitant price of €1.8 million (almost $2.3 million), the 99-unit manufacturing run has already received 18 bookings. Milan Red needs to deliver real performance to justify its price, and it looks that it does.

A 6.2-liter quad-turbo V8 produces 1,307 hp (975 kilowatts) and 1,303 lb-ft (1,400 Nm) of torque, according to the manufacturer. This power is sent entirely to the back wheels using a seven-speed transmission. The firm says that the hypercar can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.47 secs and reach a peak speed of over 249 mph (400 kph).

Milan Red will be a second faster to 124 mph and a whopping 3.7 seconds faster to 186 mph than the Chiron if it performs as expected. It could also reach a maximum lateral acceleration of 2.6 G. The suspension wishbones and the chassis' whole load-bearing structure are made of carbon fiber to keep the weight down to 2,866 lbs (1,300 kg).

Moreover, the front of the car has two massive intakes that are so large that the headlights are integrated into them. Strakes divide them into numerous parts, which helps to break up the style while also channeling air where it's needed.
Similarly, there are massive vents on the sides for feeding the four turbos on the mid-mounted engine. Milan Red is named after a kind of bird of prey, and the taillights' LED array resembles the feathers on a hawk's wings.

The cabin has yet to be seen, but the firm claims it is a high-tech space. The interior will feature all of the modern conveniences, as well as a gauge that shows the driver's heart rate. Glide, Hunt, and Attack are the three modes available in the cabin. By any standard, Milan Red is not a small vehicle. It is 186,7 inches long, 47.1 inches tall, and 85 inches broad, with a 108.3-inch wheelbase.
