South Koreans are threatening the German automakers with their new luxurious G90 Executive that was revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. The top of the line model is packing some serious features and luxurious elements that are more affordable than what German carmakers can offer.
G90 features wood and Nappa leather, a massive central display with infotainment controls, HVAC, and shift lever buttons. The US customers will have the option to choose from 2 different engines. The base model is powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.
The premium model is powered by a 5-liter V8 that sits on Equus and produces 420 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to the 8-speed automatic transmission and come with the H-TRAC AWD system.
In terms of technology and gadgets, the G90 features the 360-degree view monitor, Dynamic Bending Lights, a head-up display, electronic 12/14-way seats. It also has a Lexicon Premium Sound system with 17 speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer. The only thing that sets the Genesis G90 apart from its competitors is slightly less space which may not be such a bad thing considering all the other options and the price.
