1098 HP Carmen Boulogne Makes Its Official Appearance In Munich
by AutoExpert | 7 September, 2021
IAA Mobility in Munich in 2021 will feature Hispano Suiza's completely electric Carmen Boulogne hypercar. Mohr Group, Hispano's official dealer in Germany, will display the limited-production car.
First revealed in March 2019, the Hispano Suiza Carmen was followed by the Boulogne variation in March 2020. With its exposed carbon fiber body and copper embellishments, it stands out from the crowd.
With four electric motors delivering 1,114 PS (820 kW) and 1,600 Nm of torque, it also features a more extreme version of the electric drivetrain. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 2.6 secs and has a max speed of 290 km/h (0 to 370 mph) (180 mph). Fast-charging 80 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery offers a range of 400 km (249 miles).
When asked about the construction delays of Hispano Suiza's electric hypercar, Hispano Suiza CEO Sergio Martnez Campos stated: “We are pleased to be attending the IAA Mobility 2021 with the Mohr Group, our Official Dealer for the German Market. It is an honor to present our Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne to the German and international media. COVID-19 forced us to postpone its international debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. We're excited to see how the public reacts to our most radical hypercar”.
For the normal Carmen Boulogne, Hispano has declared restricted manufacturing of 14 units, while the Carmen Boulogne will only be produced in five units. Prices for the Carmen Boulogne start at $2 million. The first sales are planned to begin in 2022 in Barcelona, Spain.
From September 15 to 17, Hispano Suiza will extend its European tour at the St. Moritz International Automobile Week & Motorsport Rendezvous in Switzerland, which follows the IAA Mobility from September 7 to September 12.
