Based on the Lotus Type 62, a limited edition of the Lotus Project 62 can now be ordered.  Radford officially opened the order simultaneously announcing that production numbers are limited to 62 examples only. So, hurry up!

This beauty will be built under a new partnership previously formed between Radford and Lotus Engineering. The fact that there will be only 62 units, makes Project 62 an ultra-rare and exclusive car and it also allows the coachbuilder to personalize exclusively to the taste of each individual customer, for an extra cost of course.

The British coachbuilder has more than 60 years of experience in creating bespoke vehicles. This brand is a direct heritage and craftsmanship of Harold Radford, which debuted at the 1951 London Motor show. This company will give its customers highly personalized cars. They were instantly the most favorites of big names in the industry such as Beatles, and very soon, the name itself became a brand that sold itself amongst people with exclusive tastes.

Today, Radford’s modern version shows an interpretation of what it once was led by a quartet of automotive heavyweights. This includes four big names in the automotive industry, as following:  2009 Formula One world champion Jenson Button, designer Mark Stubbs, lawyer Roger Behle and TV presenter and car builder Ant Anstead.

Please welcome the world’s first modern Radford mid-engined two-seater coupe with a touch of luxury in line with the coach-built concept. Chill, the Type 62 will remain a driver’s car. According to Ant Anstead, Radford is the one who draws upon a strong history of design, including creating the bodywork of the original Ford GT40, one of the most iconic sports cars in history.

“For me, a key purpose of Radford is to celebrate iconic automotive moments by bringing them back to life for a new, modern audience. With the dynamic development of our car already well underway, we are working hard to ensure we do this car justice, and I can’t wait to put it through its paces on the Radford Track before inviting today’s Project 62 owners to come and do the same,” said Button.

“That wealth of design heritage is what informs Radford today. The craftsmanship bestowed upon each build and the level of personalization available position ‘Project 62’ among the best of the British luxury brands."  said, Ant Anstead.”

Just so you know, future Project 62 owners, will have the unique experience to be invited to attend a one-day track event hosted by no one else than Jenson Button. The event is organized to assist them in getting the most out of their future cars.
