What An Incredible 2011 Mercedes-Benz AMG C8 GTR, Don't You Think?
by AutoExpert | 21 September, 2021
Craigslist is usually full of crazy vehicles for sale, but this one may be the weirdest we've ever seen. The vehicle is described as a 2011 Mercedes-Benz AMG C8 GTR, and it is based on Mercedes' C8, C9, and C11 racing cars, according to the description.
The odd handmade creation's chassis isn't specified, but it's clear that it's not cheap, with a $75,000 asking price. The automobile is 6 to 8 inches wider than a typical car, said to the vendor, making it extremely simple to maneuver around the terns.
A 350 cubic-inch Chevy V8 engine with an Edelbrock carburetor, chrome manifold covers, aluminum water pump, and polished high-flow intake manifold, all contained under an odd-looking "bubble" on the car's rear decklid, provides power. The vehicle also comes with independent suspension at all four corners, a six-speed manual gearbox, front and back sway bars, and an aluminum oil pan, according to the seller.
The inside of this 2011 Mercedes-Benz AMG C8 GTR is equally as odd as the appearance, with a strange three-spoke steering wheel in pseudo carbon fiber. A bespoke dashboard with (probably fake) carbon fiber and brown leather is also available. The chairs seem to be anchored to the floor as well.
There's also the asking price of $75,000 to consider. To put it in context, you might spend less money on a brand new Porsche 718 Cayman S or Boxster S. Which would you pick if you had to choose between the two?Source: Craigslist
