Volkswagen ID.Buzz Vans Will Be Ready By 2025

Volkswagen wants to reach customers in the market with its Level 4 autonomous all-electric I.D.Buzz van until 2025. The autonomous vans will follow the VW Group’s Moia subsidiary. The project is currently on a field tasting stage with the self-driving startup developed by Argo AI, especially for autonomous vans.

To have a complete view over what the VW ID. Buzz Van is about, Volkswagen announced that it will be similar to the 2016 Moia vans which is a ride-sharing system operating in two German cities. If you didn’t know, the mobility company Moia is also part of the Volkswagen Group

A Level 4 autonomy is all about thee the vehicle’s ability to operate without human input. The bad side of the system is that the vehicle will self-drive only in specific geographic areas. Despite announcing that self-driving cars will be available by 2022, so far we will have only non-autonomous I.D.Buzz scheduled for 2023 and the vans will run only on semi-fixed routes.
