Volkswagen ID.4 2024: More Power, Range, and Tech for Your Buck
by AutoExpert | 29 February, 2024
Volkswagen has updated its popular electric SUV, and while there's a slight price bump, you're getting some serious improvements for 2024:
The Lowdown
- Base model ("Standard") is now $39,735 (small increase)
- Models with the bigger battery ("Pro") start at $44,875 (also slightly more)
- Don't forget the destination fee, which is an extra $1,425
Okay, But What Do I Get?
- More Power! If you've got the big battery, the ID.4 will be faster than last year's model. We're talking up to 330 horsepower!
- Better Range! The big-battery models also go further on a single charge – around 260-290 miles depending on the configuration.
- Tech Upgrades! The bigger-battery models get a fancy new 13-inch touchscreen, which hopefully fixes the weird controls from the previous version.
Other Cool Changes
- You can get ventilated seats! Only with the big battery, and only on the higher trim levels.
- Sweet new wheels – 20-inch for the mid-range Pro models, and massive 21-inch for the top-of-the-line S Plus.
The Big Bonus
The updated ID.4 should still qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax credit, which helps offset that price increase a bit.
Bottom Line
The 2024 ID.4 got enough upgrades to justify the slightly higher price tag. If you were on the fence before, it might be time to revisit the dealership!
