Volkswagen's venture into the realm of aesthetic enhancement takes a bold leap with the introduction of the Basecamp Package for its Atlas Cross Sport SUV. This new offering comes as a delightful extension to Volkswagen's Basecamp accessory lineup, which was already gracing the standard Atlas models.

Now, with its availability for the Atlas Cross Sport, the Basecamp Package unfolds a new horizon of style and ruggedness for the adventure enthusiasts.

Unveiling the Basecamp Package

The Basecamp package casts a rugged spell on the Atlas Cross Sport, embodying a body kit crafted by Air Design. It showcases a two-tone black-and-silver front valance, matte black fender flares integrated with splash guards, a satin silver rear valance, and matching satin silver side door rocker panels.

However, unlike the standard Atlas, the Cross Sport model won't be flaunting the Basecamp badge on its front quarter-panel, as this particular badge remains exclusive to its sibling.

Wheeling in Style

A striking feature of the Basecamp package is the set of 17-inch Traverse MX wheels by fifteen52, encased in all-terrain tires, ready to roll on any adventure. The wheels, available in two captivating shades - frosted glass and radiant silver, add a touch of elegance to the SUV's robust persona.

Pricing the Package

The full Basecamp kit is priced at $2,774 for the Atlas Cross Sport, while individual parts also come with their own price tags: $680 for each front and rear valance, $769 for side door rocker panels, $645 for fender flares, and $315 for each wheel.

Inspired by the Basecamp Concept

The origins of this package trace back to the 2019 Atlas Basecamp concept, which featured a custom body kit from Air Design and fifteen52-designed Traverse MX wheels, along with a height-enhancing lift kit.

A Peek into the 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport

With the unveiling of the 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models earlier in May, Volkswagen announced the starting prices at $39,075 and $38,065 respectively. The models come with more standard equipment like ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and enhanced cabin materials, justifying the price hike from the previous model year.

The Basecamp Package undoubtedly infuses a fresh breath of rugged charm into the VW Atlas Cross Sport, making it a tempting choice for those seeking a blend of adventure-ready aesthetics and unique customization.
