Toyota's GR GT3 Concept Will Enter Competition In 2026

Exciting news from the world of motorsports! Toyota's World Endurance Championship team director, Rob Leupen, has provided further information on the Gazoo Racing (GR) GT3 Concept, which was first displayed at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Leupen confirmed in a recent interview with Motorsport.com that Toyota is hard at work developing a car that will hit the European racing scene in 2026. This entry also coincides with the release of a street-legal version.
The upcoming GR GT3 Concept racer is rumored to be competing in a class higher than the Supra GT4, and experts predict it will surpass the performance of Toyota's beloved sports car. Excitingly enough, the car may potentially be linked to Toyota's luxurious brand, Lexus.
When asked directly about this possibility, Leupen said that it seems like that is the case right now. He did say, though, that the final choice would depend on how the project develops at Toyota. As of now, the automaker hasn't said anything about how the car will be powered, so fans and people in the auto industry are excitedly waiting for more information.
