by AutoExpert | 4 October, 2023
In tune with the trending "Go Green" idiom, Toyota is revamping its 2024 4Runner and TRD Pro lineup with eye-popping new paint shades. The 4Runner is introducing an alluring Underground shade, while TRD Pro owners can opt for the new Terra color.
Toyota continues to roll out its impressive 2024 offerings, with the 4Runner taking center stage this time. Although the core design remains familiar, the automaker is introducing some noteworthy enhancements, including two earthy colors and a plethora of standard features.
The 2024 4Runner will be available in various trims: SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and TRD Pro. Regardless of the chosen package, all versions will feature a 4.0-liter V6 engine that outputs 270 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. This potent engine allows for a towing capacity of up to 5,000 lbs across all trim levels.
First up in color choices is the aptly named Underground, followed by Terra, which is exclusive to the TRD Pro model. These earthy hues perfectly complement the black TRD alloy flow-form wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler tires.
For off-road enthusiasts, the TRD Pro comes fully equipped with Fox brakes featuring piggyback-style remote reservoirs, ensuring consistent damping performance over rough terrains. Additional features include a TRD roof rack and a 1/4-inch-thick aluminum skid plate adorned with red TRD lettering.
Not to be overlooked, the TRD Off-Road trim boasts a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System that allows for greater wheel travel at lower speeds, thus enhancing off-road capabilities without sacrificing road comfort.
Rounding out the 2024 TRD offerings is the TRD Sport, tailored for road driving. Thanks to the Cross-Linked Relative Absorber System suspension, the TRD Sport boasts improved on-road handling.
Completing the lineup, all 2024 models will come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P, a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies. This includes high-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic high beams.
Details on pricing and availability for the 2024 models are yet to be announced.
