A Japanese professional drifter, Daigo Saito, has built some incredible drift cars over the years, and his latest effort involves a unique Nissan Skyline. A Hakosuka Skyline GT-R was chosen for this endeavor, and it is one of the most famous variants of the classic sports vehicle.
Saito has opted to make major changes to both the car's body and interior, as well as its mechanical components. The engine bay has received the most substantial improvement, with a NASCAR-derived Dodge R5P7 V8 driving the rear wheels.
Individual throttle bodies are included on this motor, which produces around 800 hp and is coupled to an RTS GForce four-speed gearbox. The exterior of this Nissan Skyline has been repainted in a vibrant orange and features widened front and rear wheel arches to accommodate a pair of new wheels and tires.
A side-exiting exhaust, several Rocket Bunny pieces, including the front lip, and a new black bumper have also been added to Nissan Skyline. Wilwood's brakes are also included. The inside of the Nissan has also been rebuilt, with a hydraulic handbrake, a unique center console to make room for the new gearbox, Bride racing seats, and a full roll cage. The fact that Saito intends to compete in Japan's D1 Grand Prix drifting championship this year makes this Nissan Skyline even more amazing.
