The Next MG Cyberster Is The Gate Between The Past and The Future

The electric concept of the new MG Ciberster was inspired by the MG B Roadster and is the gate between future electrified future and the roots from the previous British sportscar. The concept is a two-door roadster that envisions the concept of the brand's future and will have its debut at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The next GT car is categorized as a sports concept and will "recall the Chinese-owned brand's roots as a British sports car maker" with beautiful design accents inspired by the classic MG B Roadster. The full technical details of the concept are yet to be revealed but we know it's based on the bespoke electric vehicle's architecture offering a range of 497 miles and perform the 0-62mph in less than 3.0 seconds.
The modern tech feature added to the car is the fifth-generation (5G) connectivity allowing cars to connect rapidly for driving assistance and GPS coordination. With its new round 'Magic Eye' LED headlights, inspired from the old classic MG models that can 'open' after the switched-on command.
The other LED strips that are placed down the side of the car, named 'laser belt', being also present as LED light designed for the flattened rear end and carry the Union Jack flag elements. Designed at MG's parent firm SAIC's Advanced Design Center in the UK, the car is a stunning piece of art and high-performance.
According to Carl Gotham, Head of the Design Center, the MG Cyberster is "a bold statement that looks strongly into MG's future, touching on our heritage but more importantly building on our cutting edge technology and advanced design". More details about the Cyberster will be revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show on April 21.
