With three displays inside, the 2024 Volkswagen Passat vehicle will be bigger and more aesthetically pleasing. But more excitingly, up to 220-horsepower turbocharged engines will be available in the new model!
Soon, the Volkswagen Passat B9 estate version will get a sedan sibling. The first pictures of the automobile have been released online ahead of its April unveiling at the Beijing Motor Show. In China, the Volkswagen sedan will be sold under the Magotan name.
It is reminiscent of the related Skoda Superb with its sleek side lines and gently sloping roof design. In contrast, the Volkswagen Passat B9 station wagon has a more aggressive front end with a bigger grille and longer headlights than the European model. Compared to its predecessor, the car will be bigger.
Its dimensions will be 1,854 broad, 1,487 high, 4,990 mm in length, and 2,871 mm on the wheelbase. The Volkswagen Magotan's interior is essentially identical to that of the Volkswagen Passat B9. Take, for instance, the huge touchscreen, a virtual instrument panel, and a steering wheel that is slightly incised into the bottom.
The front passenger can also benefit from a separate screen. The 2.0-liter 220 hp and 1.5-liter 150 hp turbocharged gasoline engines will be available at launch. A hybrid variant may follow. Meanwhile, a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission will be standard on both variants.
