One of the most unique types of hypercars was finally unleashed upon the world after the Swedes have published official driving footage of the Regera.
There are two things that set Regera apart from everyone else. The first, but not the most unusual is the power. Its powertrain is a combination of a standard 5-liter turbocharged V8 that works in conjunction with 3 electric motors to produce a mind-boggling 1,500 hp and 1,475 pounds per feet of torque. Even if these are insane power specs, this is not the cherry off the cake.
What makes the Regera truly revolutionary is that it has just one direct drive gear and can reach a top speed of 250 mph. Regera is about 50% more efficient than any other car due to a locking hydraulic coupler.
