The All-New HR-V From Honda Debuts In China
by AutoExpert | 1 March, 2023
Each market has its own version of the HR-V, with Dongfeng Honda unveiling a new model in China, making it the third in the series. In 2021, Honda introduced the global HR-V, which is currently available in Europe and Japan under the name Vezel.
Subsequently, a new HR-V emerged for North America, which later became the ZR-V in Europe and China. The recent Dongfeng Honda HR-V for the Chinese market is a new addition and closely related to the ZR-V produced by Guangqi Honda.
The Chinese-spec HR-V shares design elements with other Honda SUVs, such as a large front grille and thin bumper intakes, and LED headlights with illuminated strips. Its profile is nearly identical to the North American HR-V and Global ZR-V, except for slightly different side sills. The rear features full-width taillight clusters, wider reflectors, and dual tailpipes.
The interior of the new HR-V for China is expected to be similar to that of its siblings, with minor differences in trim and color options. Although Honda hasn't released technical specifications, it has confirmed that the HR-V SUV will feature a hybrid powertrain.
