Though Buick LaCrosses were discontinued in North America four years ago, the model lives on in China, where it has just undergone a complete redesign for a new generation. The new LaCrosse's design is drastically different from that of its predecessor.
It's instantly obvious up front, where the traditional headlights have been swapped out for crisp LED ones.
In addition, the front grille of the LaCrosse has been reworked by Buick to be more in line with the grilles of the new Electra 5 EV and updated Encore GX. The LaCrosse's back has also been given a complete makeover. Among new features are the modern LED taillights, which include a light bar and chrome accent.
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 237 horsepower will come standard on the new 2024 Buick LaCrosse. To complement this powerplant, a 9-speed automated gearbox is planned. The next year will see the debut of the all-new LaCrosse in China.
