by AutoExpert | 24 August, 2023
The newly-released Mercedes EQA and EQB 2024 models are trailblazers in their class, setting a unique speed record. Although not known for staggering acceleration, they’ve outpaced every other electric vehicle in their race from launch to facelift.
A Refreshing Take
Unveiled in 2021, the EQA (an electric version of the GLA crossover) quickly reached showrooms. Its sibling, the EQB, debuted shortly after and found its way to the U.S. market in the summer of 2022.
These vehicles now feature a micro facelift to align with Mercedes' more luxurious electric models. The evident enhancements include the iconic star-spangled black grille, light bar connecting the DRLs, and refined bumpers and taillights. They also boast subtle changes to improve desirability and usability.
Tech Advancements and Infotainment Upgrades
The cars now come with a 10.25-inch central touchscreen equipped with the latest Benz’s MBUX software. Features such as wireless smartphone connectivity and Dolby Atmos in the optional Burmester surround sound system are integrated. Over-air updates allow post-purchase activation of gadgets like speed management and augmented reality navigation.
More Range with Efficient Charging
The 2024 EQB lineup resembles the previous ones, with optimizations improving the WLTP range up to 333 miles for the EQB 250+. The addition of Plug & Charge tech should accelerate overall charge times, ensuring a more convenient charging experience.
The refreshed 2024 Mercedes EQA and EQB models offer sophisticated design enhancements and technological upgrades to please both car enthusiasts and tech-savvy users.
