The 2023 Nissan Altima Coming To The United States This Fall
by AutoExpert | 10 June, 2022
The 2023 Nissan Altima has been introduced with refined exterior styling and enhanced technology. The revised V-Motion grille with a black-chrome finish distinguishes the facelifted Altima from its predecessor.
The dynamic appearance is emphasized by the standard LED headlights and the newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels. Nissan provides two new exterior colors for 2023: Gray Sky Pearl and Garnett Pearl Metallic, as well as a single-panel sunroof as an alternative.
The new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, which replaces the old 8-inch one, is the main focus of the Nissan Armada's interior changes. It is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Door-to-Door Navigation, and NissanConnect Services.
Nissan offers the Altima in S, SV, SR, SL, and SR VC-Turbo FWD trim levels. They all come with FWD, but the SV, SR, and SL also have Intelligent AWD technology from Nissan.
Depending on the version, the Altima may come with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, Zero Gravity seats with extra leather upholstery, a wireless phone charging pad, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, and many other features.
The Safety Shield 360 package, which includes the basic ADAS systems, is standard on all specs, whereas the more advanced ProPILOT Assist and Intelligent Around View Monitor are included on premium trims.
Both a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 2.0-liter VC Turbo four-cylinder motor are still available for the Altima. The 2.5-liter engine produces 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque in FWD configuration and 182 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque in AWD configuration.
The more powerful turbo engine, which makes 248 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, is only available in the SR VC-Turbo FWD model. These motors are paired with the Xtronic CVT gearbox, which is equipped with paddle shifters beginning with the SR trim. This fall, the new 2023 Nissan Altima will go on sale in the US.
