Tesla Cybertruck Is Likely To Have A Glass Dashboard
by AutoExpert | 18 August, 2021
Ignoring the fact that Tesla creator Elon Musk has stated Tesla Cybertruck may fail due to its bizarre design, interest in the future pickup keeps rising. As the sharp EV nears production, we're discovering more and more about the final version and what to anticipate from it.
We've recently looked at some of the early patents that inspired the Cybertruck, and now there are more Cybertruck drawings available. The logic behind such a windscreen is that the glass constructions that employ the technology specified in the patent would be extremely robust due to the precisely incorporated curves and folds.
The technology utilized to produce this specially designed and ultra-robust windscreen may also be applied in the interior, especially in the dash. The dash on the prototype that Musk shattered the glass on was composed of recycled paper blends.
However, with glass, the interior would seem more appealing, and the dash itself would not break in the event of a collision. We see some rather sharp lines in the graphic portraying such a dash, which makes us concerned about customer safety, but it's worth remembering that the status of this patent does not ensure that the methods stated will be used in the real Cybertruck.
