A renowned Russian vlogger just bought a Tesla Model 3 Performance, despite being neither a lover nor a hater of electric vehicles. In reality, he has tried multiple times in recent years to test drive various models on one of Russia's most vital highways between Moscow and St Petersburg. But the hassles were huge, and Russia's infrastructure is still far from developed.
So, when he acquired his Tesla, he took the same route between the two cities, but his Tesla's range was far less than indicated, so he had charging issues and problems in finding functional connections. The Russian vlogger had 0 km of range and was struggling to charge till the plug overheated and terminated the operation.
In Russia, the vlogger's Tesla experience fell far short of the official brochure's promises, so he decided to go to an extreme that only underlines the real infrastructure and nuisance issues that arise when such a high-tech automobile arrives in a country without large Supercharger parking spaces.
The Russian vlogger then hooked up his fossil-fuel-powered generator to his Tesla and had power wherever he went. But the power and charging speed aren't fantastic: the generator's range is just approximately 17 km per hour. So, to fully charge the battery, you need a few days. Take a look below at all of these Tesla adventures in Russia!
