Tata Curvv Is The Stylish SUV With Powertrain Options For Every Driver

Tata Motors has officially unveiled the production-ready Curvv. As a reminder, the company first showed the electric version of the Curvv in April 2022 and the internal combustion engine version in January 2023. There are just minor cosmetic changes between the concept and manufacturing models.
What really sets it apart is its sloping roofline. Well, we have to admit that, in the interest of practicality, the Tata Curvv has sacrificed some of the concept car's aesthetic flair.
Conventional features, such as regular mirrors and a less aggressive posture, have replaced the striking design signals. The grille-less design, the charging outlet on the bumper, and the electric version's new alloy wheels that improve aerodynamics are the primary features that set it apart from the ICE variants. The interior is borrowed extensively from the Nexon and Nexon EV, with some minor cosmetic modifications and a steering wheel borrowed from the larger Harrier and Safari SUVs.
Touch-sensitive controls and a scattering of tech options, such as a panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera, aim to boost the luxury factor. Tata's new Adaptive Tech Forward Lifestyle Architecture (ATLAS) will serve as the foundation for several future models, with the Tata Curvv being the first production car to do so.
The internal combustion engine variant is offered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 118 horsepower, as well as two turbo 1.2-liter three-cylinder engines that may provide up to 125 horsepower. A six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transfers power to the front wheels. There are two versions of the Curvv that are completely electric. A 45-kWh battery pack and a single electric motor generating 150 horsepower are standard on the entry-level variant.
A more powerful electric motor producing 165 horsepower and a bigger 55-kWh battery are features of the top-tier electric vehicle. According to Tata, the smaller battery will have a real-world range of around 205-218 miles, while the bigger unit would range from 249–264 miles. Tata Curv.EV prices in India range from Rs 17.49 lakh (about $20,900) to Rs 21.99 lakh ($26,200), with the exact amount dependent on the model and amount of battery capacity. Tata will announce the pricing for the Curvv lineup of internal combustion engine models at a later time.
