Suzuki Goes All-Out at Japan Mobility Show 2023: From New Swift ICE to Flying Cars, They've Got It All
by AutoExpert | 3 October, 2023
Hold onto your hats, folks—Suzuki is bringing the whole gang to the Japan Mobility Show 2023, and boy, do they have some surprises up their sleeves!
First in the spotlight is the new Swift ICE, set to drop in 2024. Don't be fooled; while it might look familiar, it's a whole new beast. With a body that's curvier than a scenic highway, snazzy new LED taillights, and a grille that could make a fish jealous, this isn't your granddad's Swift. Suzuki is throwing in an array of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) because, well, why not shake up our daily drives?
What's under the hood? Suzuki's keeping mum for now, but word on the street is that we might see an upgraded version of the existing 1.2-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine.
But that's not all—get ready for the revamped Suzuki eVX concept, an all-electric SUV that's scheduled to hit production in 2025. The design stays true to its bare-bones roots while also adding some fresh flair, like redesigned headlights and an improved interior.
Size-wise, Suzuki has spilled the beans on the eVX's dimensions and even its target range—a whopping 311 miles. Topping it off, the concept is packing a 60 kWh battery pack and Suzuki's latest electronically controlled 4x4 tech.
Let's not forget the Spacia and Spacia Custom kei vans—now more comfy and swanky than ever. Also on the table is the all-electric eEvery Suzuki kei van, aiming to muscle into the crowded field of Japanese electric vans with a range of 124 miles.
And because Suzuki just can't help themselves, they're also teasing us with the eWX concept, an EV mini wagon boasting a 200-mile range.
Motorcycles? Check. Electric mobility solutions? Double-check. They're even teasing a "four-legged" vehicle and a flying car set to take the stage in 2024.
The Japan Mobility Show is happening in Tokyo from October 26 to November 5, and we can't wait to see what Suzuki has in store.
