Smart Unveils EQ Fortwo Coupé Racing Green Edition, Inspired By Brabus

The new Smart EQ Fortwo Racing Green Edition is now available, with Brabus-inspired interior and exterior elements pushing the price up to £25,495, which includes a £2500 national plug-in car discount.
Brabus Monoblock XI alloy-wheels with a silvery undercut are fitted to the special-edition EQ Fortwo. The distinctive exterior appearance is completed by LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, and Racing Green metallic paint.
The dashboard, door panels, and three-spoke multifunction steering wheel are all wrapped in Cognac Nappa leather, as are the hand-stitched seats. The stitching is a combination of Diamond and Racing Green.
The sports pedals, handbrake lever, gear stick, and aluminum door sills are all Brabus details, while the dashboard has a carbon-fiber like trim.
EQ Fortwo Coupé Racing Green Edition, like the £19,200 entry-level EQ Fortwo, has an 8-in display with the Connect system, which is suitable for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Beneath, the powertrain remains unchanged: an 81 bhp electromotor drives the back wheels, taking 11.6 secs to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph on the way to a max speed of 81 mph. The 17.6 kW battery has an official range of 80 miles, but under actual conditions, the range will be closer to 70.
According to Smart, a speedy charger can recharge the batteries from 10% to 80% in less than 40 min, while a regular home wall box unit can charge the battery completely in less than six hours.
Racing Green Edition will be available for a limited period only, according to Smart, who did not specify how long potential buyers will have to submit their orders. For a long time, the EQ Fortwo and EQ Forfour were the only models available. Smart, on the other hand, provided photos of a new electric SUV that will be presented in September at the Munich Car Show.
