Skoda Attends Worthersee Festival with an Unusual Concept

Nicknamed FUNstar, the new concept is based on the current generation Skoda Fabia compact city car but has undergone many modifications to finally look like a true pick-up. The prototype is fully functional but it was made in only one copy as Czechs do not plan mass production.
Skoda FUNstar can be closely inspected by fans of the VAG group and especially Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda at the festival in Worthersee, Austria. The concept car is equipped with a 1.2-liter TSI engine coupled to a seven-speed DSG transmission and is characterized by a unique design with neon green colors.
Originally the engineers wanted to install a larger engine such as the 1.8-liter TSI but the idea was abandoned as the hood space was too small to accommodate it. The FUNstar Pick-up is highlighted by 18-inch rims and air vents on the hood. The green is omnipresent both in the body and interior and Czechs even installed neon lights under the car!
The cabin provides space for only two people that will enjoy a touch screen multimedia
