SARD Is Showcasing New Custom Bodykit For Toyota GR 86 GT1

Toyota GR 86 GT1 has drawn the attention of Japanese tuners ever since its launch. All of them are competing for offering the most bespoke options to Toyota lovers. This is also the case of SARD, who has quite a history in tuning Toyota models. Its latest creation –Toyota GR 86 GT1 – comes with a fresh body kit ready to conquer Toyota fans’ hearts.
It comes in a cleaner and leaner shape, with a fully reprojected front bumper, embellished with an elongated central intake, badgeless nose, and side intakes in a triangular shape. On the back, you’ll see black round LED graphics on the newly projected taillights.
The contrasting white body color and aluminum 18-inch BBS RE-V7 rims finished in black create quite a drama. The rims are wearing 245/35R18 Bridgestone Potenza tires, providing an even more aggressive attitude, alongside the aero parts.
As for the interior of the car, there is sexy red leather on the bucket seats, featuring SARD badges. The style is completed by red foot wheels and a titanium shift knob.
No performance upgrades have been presented by the tuner but expect the unexpected. Rumors say there might be a Torsen limited-slip differential that provides the possibility of more traction. The suspension is visibly lowered, which allows us to predict a lower center of gravity and improved maneuverability.
Again, no official news on the power upgrades, but why not daydream of a turbo kit, as we’ve seen on the SARD Toyota 86 GT3 previous generation. It featured a BorgWarner EFR turbocharger, an intercooler/radiator that increased the engine’s power to 300 hp (304 PS / 224 kW), a custom downpipe, and a titanium exhaust.
The stock engine is a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated flat-four, which reached 232 hp (235 PS / 173 kW), with a torque of 184 lb-ft (250 Nm). This enables the stock model to reach its first 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, while the top speed stops at 240 km/h.
