Preparing For The Debut, Smart #1 Brabus Reveals Its Athletic Nature
by AutoExpert | 16 August, 2022
Smart has released the first official photographs of the #1 Brabus, its performance-oriented variant of the all-electric SUV, after teasing it in previous posts. The carmaker plans to unveil the car in full at the Chengdu Motor Show in China on August 26.
To begin with, the exterior's matte gray finish and the black badges contrast with the red highlights on the bumper, intakes, side sills, mirror caps, roof, and brake calipers. The big rear spoiler and the diffuser, together with the tinted windows and the 19-inch alloy wheels finished in a two-tone design, are all new features for this edition.
The interior has red highlights, red ambient lighting, and metal-style embellishments, as well as Brabus badging on the steering wheel and the headrests. The electric drivetrain of the #1 Brabus has not been revealed. According to reports from China, this vehicle will offer up to a whopping 400–428 horsepower from its pair of electric motors. When compared to the Smart #1's base configuration, which uses a single motor and produces 264 horsepower, this is a significant improvement.
The SUV's acceleration will be much improved with the addition of the additional power and all-wheel drive. The sportier version's suspension tuning and beefier brakes increase handling even more. Smart #1 Brabus is almost set to make its debut in China, so we shouldn't have to wait long to find out more details.
