It seems that the people from Porsche have solved the problem of the engine failures of the GT3 RS model which now appeared a few months ago.
The solution is extremely simple; it will replace the engine with a completely new and even more powerful!
Head of Research and Development from Porsche, Wolfgang Hatz confirmed at the Detroit Motor Show that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will get a new engine. There is talk that there will be a six-cylinder boxer with a 4.0-liter volume and not a 3.8 liter and not as it was previously. The new engine will be more powerful! It is able to deliver up to 500 horsepower and will be mated to a manual gearbox.
Besides the new engine, the GT3 RS model will receive new bumpers front and rear vents with more permissive, a slightly larger rear spoiler, and new optical blocks, with daylight and LED technology.
Recall that in March 2014 Porsche recalled 785 cars because of a fault at the engine which caught in fire multiple copies.
