At the event that took place yesterday in Prague, Czechs revealed to journalists the new Skoda Superb 2015! Even though the Geneva Motor Show is almost here, Skoda decided to stop teasing us and announced the premiere of the new sedan.
Scheduled to arrive in showrooms in June the new model is ready for first orders. The design of the Czech limousine is more dynamic, more aggressive but also more elegant, successfully combining features from the old generation with modern design.
The grille is built into the front bumper and is now more expressive and well "guarded" by the bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. The LED tail lights look substantially better than the previous generation.
The interior is executed in a more restrained and simple manner and customers can choose one of four infotainment systems, compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some options include a moon roof, heated seats, air conditioner, and a Canton audio system.
As for the engines, the Czechs make available a range of five petrol engines capable of producing between 125 and 280 horsepower and three diesel engines with outputs ranging from 120 hp to 190 hp. Whatever option is chosen, the new Superb will have a stop/start function and a dual-clutch transmission, with the exception of the entry-level model. Later they will also release a four-wheel drive model.
