After announcing the 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport back in June, the manufacturer has now provided further information about it, along with a list of other upgrades for the upcoming model year. Several new basic features are available depending on the trim level you choose.

As of 2022, all 4Runners come basic with LED high beams, as well as LED low beams, fog lights, and a rear-view camera. There is also a rear occupancy warning on every model of the SUV to warn drivers to check the backseat for a child or pet before exiting the car.

New Toyota 4Runner now comes standard with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning on the SR5 Premium model, as well as TRD Off-Road Premium, TRD Pro, and Limited trim levels With a Multi-Information Display (MID), both the Limited and different TRD grades offer a modern look.

There's also a Multi-Terrain Monitor on the TRD Pro, which uses the vehicle's cameras to scan for impediments that a driver might not be able to see from behind the wheel. To aid in maneuvering in confined places, the Limited model also incorporates a Panoramic View Monitor.

For making the 4Runner more enjoyable on the roads, Toyota has added the TRD Sport trim. From the Limited version, it inherits the adjustable damping suspension system. Dark Gray highlights adorn the 20-inch machined wheels.
