New Lotus Emira GT4 Is Ready To Race
by AutoExpert | 8 September, 2021
Lotus Emira, which debuted in July, is the first new model in ten years. The brand, on the other hand, hasn't stopped there. A GT4 racing variant of the 400-hp vehicle has been created in collaboration with the RML team.
The new Lotus Emira GT 4 is expected to debut in late 2021 at the Hethel test circuit. However, because the model alterations are unlikely to be significant, the production version will be identical to the prior one.
Emira GT 4 is lighter than its predecessor, weighing just 1260 kg. The car is likely to miss several of the comfort features included in the previous model, opting instead for a safety enclosure that fulfills the International Automobile Federation's safety standards. Lotus Emira GT4 has six-point racing seats, a fire extinguisher, and a Motec digital instrument cluster.
18-inch racing wheels with Pirelli GT4 tires, modified suspension with Ohlins shock absorbers, high-performance brakes with Alcon discs and calipers, and Bosch Motorsport ABS round out the package. A single top-of-the-line Toyota 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine will power the Lotus Emira racing vehicle. The engine produces 400-hp and is controlled by a six-speed xTrac gearbox.
