New Ferrari 812 ‘Limited Edition’ Bring a Street-Legal Beast With 818 HP
by AutoExpert | 22 April, 2021
Ferrari did it again. The Italian automaker surprised us with the first official images of the hardcore 812 Superfast limited edition model. When you see limited edition lettering next to a Ferrari car name, you know that this is a perfect trio - unique, powerful, and superfast. The new version of the 812 Superfast is about to let you crave for more until before its official reveal, on May 5th.
This new Ferrari will sport the latest naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering up to 818 horsepower. Note that this engine brings a beasty road-car engine capable of almost 9,500 rpm on the streets. This one could rank the highest-revving road-legal Ferrari ever made.
The naturally aspirated V12 engine is not any big news from Ferrari, but it was modified, redesigned, and upgraded version of the previous Ferrari 812 Superfast version. The redesigned components include a new valve timing mechanism and a new exhaust system with square tips, and this is where the mindblowing performance levels come.
Also, the chassis was fully updated to ensure better handling and even managed to fit independent steering on all four wheels. This way the Ferrari 812 will be more precise under cornering and more active to steering inputs. If you want more, keep in mind that this superfast car will be the first to feature the 7.0 of the Side Slip Control vehicle dynamics system version.
It's no news that every time Ferrari works more and more on the bodywork to give its customers a better aerodynamic and synergy with the Ferrari Styling Center. This way, the carmaker gives maximized downforce levels with new front air intakes, an enormous rear diffuser, and an exhaust tip setup. For an original look, you get the patented design of the rear screen featuring the vortex generators.
Using more lightweight materials, like carbon fiber, Ferrari delivers a lighter V12 model compared to the same 812 Superfast. Did you notice the transversely-mounted carbon-fiber blade, combined with the aluminum rear screen, gives the car's bonnet a shorter look? The interior still has the same dash as the regular Superfast but is completed by redesigned door panels, and you can spot the latest H-gate gear selector on the tunnel.
The official reveal of the Ferrari 812 Limited Edition is scheduled for May 5th. The event will be a Livestream broadcast on Ferrari’s social media channels. Mark your calendars, folks!
