Corvette Z06 GT3.R race vehicle was introduced just a few weeks after the unveiling of the new Corvette Z06.
GT3.R will replace Corvette C8.R used in numerous tournaments across the world.
It takes many of the aesthetic changes made to the road-going Z06 and transforms them into a track-only competitor that will be accessible to both pros and amateurs for the first time.
The car will be powered by the same 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 found in the C8.R and Z06, but performance will be limited to between 500 and 600 hp due to racing rules, according to Chevrolet. The street car's dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox has been replaced with a six-speed sequential transaxle that drives the back wheels.
Corvette Z06 GT3.R also includes a double-wishbone suspension system and motorsport-specific six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers that can be swapped out in the middle of a race. The automobile has also been given a number of aerodynamic enhancements.
It sports a distinctive splitter on the front bumper, as well as diving plans. The slender wing mirrors, as well as the rocker panels and side skirts, are unusual. A colossal wing and a massive diffuser can be found at the back.
Chevrolet hasn't revealed the price of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R, but it has stated that it would be prepared for the 2024 racing season.
