NAMX Introduces A Hydrogen-Powered SUV With Detachable Fuel Tanks

Car company NAMX has just shown its first concept car. The hydrogen-powered SUV is designed by Pininfarina and boasts distinctive new technologies. However, it won't be available for purchase until 2025, when the vehicle goes into production.
It will be available in two trim levels at first, according to NAMX. The base model will have a rear-wheel-drive configuration and a 296-horsepower output. It will accelerate to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and reach a peak speed of 124 mph.
There's also a GTH variant with four-wheel drive and an output of 542 horsepower. It will have a peak speed of 155 mph and a 4.5-second time to 62 mph. These automobiles will cost between €65,000 and €95,000 ($68,410 and $99,984 USD).
The most intriguing aspect of NAMX's patented technology is that it blends a permanent hydrogen tank with six extra detachable capsules that may be used as auxiliary tanks. With this, they expect the car to have a maximum range of 497 miles. For Pininfarina, the integration of these tanks into the vehicle's architecture was a top priority.
The HUV, according to Pininfarina, is a next-generation vehicle that doesn't lose sight of the past. The vehicle will make its premiere at the Paris Auto Show this fall, with development beginning in 2023.
