Mitsubishi Unveils Its Fleet Of Modified Tritons
by AutoExpert | 28 July, 2023
During the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton launch event in Thailand, Mitsubishi displayed a variety of accessories that could be used to customize the new pickup. They displayed fourteen Tritons, including a Ralliart rally-prepared vehicle and several off-road models.
Based on the short-cab body design, the sports truck was one of the most notable variants. Its design incorporated a conspicuous splitter, a roof-mounted spoiler, ventilated fenders, and a diffuser, indicating that it was track-ready.
The Triton's lowered suspension and larger brakes suggest enhanced dynamics, despite Mitsubishi's silence on the subject. For reference, the most potent production version of the Triton is powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine that generates 201 horsepower and 351 lb-ft of torque. Mitsubishi also displayed a box van, a single-cab model with steel wheels, and a tough model with off-road bumpers and an extended platform for increased cargo capacity.
The other Tritons displayed featured modifications suitable for both recreational and professional activities. A white, tough vehicle with a bull bar, snorkel, additional LEDs, and a roof-mounted tent was available for overlanding excursions. A silver Triton equipped with a canopy for the rear berth and towing a caravan trailer was another example of a suitable camping vehicle.
The display of various Triton customizations demonstrated Mitsubishi's dedication to providing a variety of options to accommodate varying customer preferences. In addition, they offer aftermarket parts and accessories through their official website, such as the Trail package, which consists of a sports bar, black fender extensions, window deflectors, and side steps and can be combined with an optional wheel and tire package.
