Mercedes' Project Mondo G Transforms The G-Class Into A Huge Puffer Jacket

Mercedes-Benz and Moncler have collaborated on an art installation called Project Mondo G, which combines puffer jacket style with automotive design. The installation was presented at the Moncler "Art of Genius" show during London Fashion Week.
The piece is meant to be a surprising tribute to both Mercedes and Moncler and is described by Britta Seeger, Mercedes' head of marketing and sales, as "another X-factor brand moment." Mercedes is committed to engaging with culture and society, and this collaboration with Moncler offers new opportunities for future projects.
According to the creators of Project Mondo G, they are exploring the contrast between the angular design of the SUV and the soft, curvy design of the jacket to create a fusion of opposites. The vehicle features oversized, quilted wheels and a roof that emphasize the car's proportions, as well as other details such as a roof zipper, a raised air intake, and a weathered exterior.
Gorden Wagener, Mercedes' chief design officer, expressed that the collaboration between the two luxury brands offers a unique experience that merges the automotive and fashion worlds into a single work of art. The Project Mondo G is intended to be a polarizing art piece that sets new trends through its exaggerated and over-dimensional design. Indeed, it is a considerable thing, weighing 2.5 metric tons and measuring 11 feet in width, 9 feet in height, and 15 feet in length with the added wheels.
