Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX Breaks Its Own Record, Traveling 747 Miles On A Single Charge

In April, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX concept car traveled 626 miles on a single charge, and the battery still had around 15 percent left. Mercedes sent the Vision EQXX on another road trip to continue that story, and this time they were successful in breaking the record by achieving a distance of 747 miles on a single charge.
This was made possible by the Vision EQXX's excellent aerodynamics and extremely effective drivetrain. In addition, the vehicle is fitted with a battery that is less than 100 kWh.
The adventure began at the Mercedes headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, and the Vision EQXX's first destination was Untertürkheim. It then traveled to two French cities, Reims and Calais, before making its last stop in the United Kingdom.
Before continuing to Silverstone, that phase required making a brief stop at the Mercedes-AMG F1 facility in Brackley. They drove to the renowned race track after arriving in Silverstone. Nyck de Vries, the reigning Mercedes Formula E champion, was waiting there. He pushed the vehicle around the track for 11 laps.
The Vision EQXX returned to Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrain headquarters in Brixworth, UK, after a 747-mile road trip that took 14 hours and 30 minutes over two days. It rested here overnight to recharge its batteries before its next appearance at the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.
