Mercedes-Benz GLS has been officially presented!

Now Mercedes-Benz GL will remain just history as its place is taken by the facelift version, which comes with a name change GLS! And recently, the German car manufacturer published the first photo gallery with the new model.
Mercedes described the new GLS as "S-Class among SUVs", suggesting to us the comfort level and not only facilities but also added the letter S to GL presence. The name change brings a subtle facelift to the tail and some more in front. Here we see the taillights, a restyled front bumper, radiator grille with a more imposing, where it found the place and oversized emblem.
The interior has undergone some design changes, especially on the center console where it appeared touchscreen display with an 8-inch diagonal. The three-spoke steering wheel also see dressed in Nappa leather and a touchpad of the new generation. And for a few extra pennies, customers can equip the car with an air ionization system, a technology borrowed from the S-Class.
In terms of technology we can get on the list and the Systems for safety as follows Collision PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS, Crosswind Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST, PRE-SAFE, Brake Assist BAS, cruise control system, the ESP also wheel drive system assisted by 4ETS. Optional Mercedes offers Driver Assistance Systems DISTRONIC PLUS Package to Assist Steering included, Active Lane Keeping Assist followed, Speed Limit Assist, BAS PLUS which includes Cross-Traffic Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, PRE-SAFE Brake, etc.
On the engine's side, there is an upgrade for the bi-turbo V8 unit which enjoys a 20 horsepower for the version GLS550 4MATIC and now develops 449 horsepower and 699 Nm of torque. In the version GLS450 4MATIC, the 3.0-liter V6 delivers 362 horsepower and 500 nm, and the top model GLS63 put on wheels around 577 horsepower and 760 Nm!
The only model Echoput is a GLS350d 4MATIC diesel engine capable of generating 255 horsepower and 616 Nm of torque. All versions are equipped with the aforementioned automatic transmission with new speeds (except GLS63) and additionally can be equipped with a limited-slip center differential (between axles).
