Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Edition 55' Marks AMG's 55th Anniversary

Mercedes-AMG G 63 "Edition 55" was developed to mark AMG's 55th anniversary. For the time being, the Edition 55 is only available in Europe and is a €17,850 ($19,719) kit available on the G 63 SUV. It arrives with a slew of aesthetic delights, including the 22-inch forged wheels with a matte gray paint job.
The cosmetic package comprises AMG Night Packages I and II, which feature high-gloss black accents on elements like the radiator grille, turn signals, headlights, and taillights, as well as a silver fuel filler lid with the AMG logo.
AMG door trim with a red-lighted inscription, black AMG floor mats with red stitching and "Edition 55" inscription, and a microfiber-wrapped steering wheel with "AMG" and "55" logos greet you on the inside. The design is completed with carbon trim accents and red and black Nappa leather seats.
It's a factory G 63 under the bonnet, which implies a 4.0-liter Biturbo V8 engine with 577 horsepower (585 PS) and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque. A nine-speed automatic gearbox distributes all power to both axles.
The company suggests that the G 63's Edition 55 kit is only the first of numerous anniversary specials we'll see in the following months as it marks the 1967 birth of the separate tuning and racing business it bought in 2005.
