Meet The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid: Sporty, Powerful, And Eco-Friendly
by AutoExpert | 23 May, 2024
Honda introduced newly revised Civic models, available as hatchbacks and sedans. With its 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors, the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid generates a total of 200 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque.
This is the most powerful Civic model available right now, apart from the Type R, and it even outshines the European e:HEV. Honda claims that the hybrid version accelerates faster than the previous turbo 1.5-liter model, despite not yet revealing the exact specs.
At the same time, the new Civic Hybrid promises an economy that is approximately 50 mpg higher than before. Honda has also fine-tuned the suspension of a hybrid vehicle, making special adjustments to the springs and dampers. Along with the electric Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid types, there are also LX and Sport versions that rely only on internal combustion engine power.
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which Honda has retained, propels them with 138 lb-ft of torque and 158 horsepower. Nearly 40% of Civic sales, according to Honda, will be hybrids. There is no word on the manual Civic Si in the press announcement just yet, but the 2025 Civic range does include a CVT.
For the possibility of a manual transmission option, Honda stated that currently, the 2025 model year's Civic lineup remains a mystery. On the aesthetic side, the new 2025 Honda Civic sports revised bumper intakes and grilles. A body-color garnish around the headlights and on the front splitter is a distinguishing feature of the hybrid trim levels.
Among the other cosmetic changes are the sedan's darkened taillights, the Sport Touring Hybrid's machine-finished 18-inch wheels, and four new exterior color options. The inside is mostly unchanged. The hybrid now has a gray color option, and all of the models now include USB-C connections.
Furthermore, the top-tier Sport Touring Hybrid model has a larger infotainment screen (9 inches) that is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as Google built-in. Sales of the 2025 Honda Civic will begin in the United States in June with the sedan model and continue throughout the summer with the hatchback. At a later point, we will reveal the pricing for the new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. We anticipate the starting price to be less than $30,000.
