Mazda’s new rotary concept – RX Vision at the Tokyo Motor Show!

Could this be the future of the RX line? Mazda hopes so and wants to turn it into the reality of a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car. It would be powered by the new SKYACTIV-R rotary engine.
I still dream about how great my 1983 Mazda RX-7 was and maybe, someday I could take a spin in something like this concept. It is not as long, as the RX-8 and is lower and wider. The 20-inch wheels give it a "ready to go" look, with a simple interior, analog instrument panel, and simplicity that sets it apart from most cars these days.
Mazda didn't give much information about the rotary engine, but from my experience with the earlier rotary engine, I am sure it will be outstanding. The thing about a rotary is the top-end acceleration. You go from 80 mph to 120 in almost a heartbeat.
