Mazda wants to approach an aggressive strategy to launch new models in the next three years. The Japanese manufacturer is planning to launch five new models in 2016, marking the most aggressive approach in the last 10 years. Mazda did not specify who will be these models and which segments will cover. Until now, the launch of the new Mazda MX is confirmed in May 2015.
There are expected models like CX-3, the eventual Mazda 6 Coupe a new generation of Mazda 2, and a possible successor to the RX-8. The whole campaign of Mazda is seen as a restart of the range already started with the launch of the CX-5, Mazda 6, and Mazda 3. There is a possibility that the list of five new models also includes the replacement of the current Mazda 5, a replacement model CX-5 and another SUV. The third SUV segment might belong to the B area, confirmed Takashi Yamanouchi, Mazda president. Japanese company representatives expect a period of sustained growth in sales, considering that the car market recorded a decline.
