Lexus Unveils World's First Heartbeat Car
by AllAutoExperts | 29 July, 2015
A sports car and how it performs is a reflection of the owner and his mentality. Properly executed, it is the mechanical equivalent of the mind of the driver. How better to reflect that other than to connect the car to the driver with a biometric response system?
Lexus has put that effect on display with a unique biometric 2015 Lexus RC F Coupe.
In coordination with M&C Saatchi a creative firm and Lexus Australia, different technologies were used to monitor the the heartbeat of the driver and send it to special electro-luminescent paint on the car which throbs and glows in response to the driver's metabolism. It took only 6 months to develop this EKG effect on the Lexus.
The effect is only visible at night and is in several different patterns. We wonder however how different the effect might appear with a beautiful young lady is in the car!
