The LEVC L380, Geely's latest venture in electric minivans, is making waves with its innovative design and Airbus A380-inspired aesthetic. The L380 aims to communicate its commitment to spaciousness and comfort, evident in its exterior lines reminiscent of the A380.
The front, adorned with a full-width LED bar and bumper-mounted headlights, exudes a modern appeal, while the profile maintains simplicity with flush door handles and expansive windows.
Inside, the L380 offers versatility with 6-seater or 8-seater configurations, showcasing a four-row layout for the latter. The fourth-row seats can be conveniently folded and stowed under the boot, and the sliding third-row prioritizes either enhanced legroom or expanded boot space, catering to varying passenger and cargo needs.
The new Space-Oriented Architecture (SOA), a modified version of Geely's SEA platform, serves as the foundation for the LEVC L380.
A nickel-cobalt-manganate (NMC) battery pack made in China by the CATL-Geely joint venture powers the electric powertrain, which has a single motor with a 268 hp output. The SOA platform's compatibility with batteries ranging from 73 to 120 kWh positions the L380 for an impressive maximum range of 432 miles.
Anticipated to compete with rivals like the Volvo EM90, Zeekr 009, Li Mega, Denza D9, Xpeng X9, and Maxus Mifa 9, the LEVC L380 is poised to make a distinctive mark in the electric minivan segment. Its official debut is on the horizon, and the L380 is set to provide a unique and sophisticated option for those seeking a blend of style, comfort, and electric mobility in China.
