Classic motorcycle styling is a true inspiration for any motorcycle designer. Benelli, the Italian design company knows how to deliver the classic modern-retro styling. Meet the latest middleweight naked with a retro twist with the Leoncino 800 and Leoncino 800 Trail.
The Leoncino 800
This model’s specs turn this motorbike into the road-biased variant a tubular steel trellis frame topped with a traditionally-shaped 3.9-gallon gas tank and throwback tail section and seat.
The liquid-cooled 754cc parallel-twin reaches 76 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque and the six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch helps transfer all that power to the ground.
While the Brembo brakes help bring the bike to a stop, the 50mm Marzocchi inverted fork gives a preload adjustment as well as 5.1 inches of travel. The preload-adjustable monoshock on the back front suspends the 17-inch wheels at both ends to run a 120-section tire.
Leoncino 800 Trail
The above mentioned Leoncino 800 Trail version has high-mounted pipes, a fly-screen, a Pesaro-based brand also equipped the 800 Trail and a 19-inch front wheel.
Its Marzocchi front end and monoshock bump up to 5.5 inches of travel, elevating the seat height to 32.6 inches. It’s the perfect bike for the dirt roads.
Both models have the new Euro5 emissions standards, Benelli has yet to release pricing on the retro duo.
